    Index Query

      Hi ,
I want to create an index table but my project is soo huge that writing all the keywords is a night mare is there an autocreate index like auto create TOC?? Or is there a neasier way of doing it rather than creating an index key word then linking it to a topic.

          Hi there rr336

RoboHelp does have a Smart Index Wizard that will trawl through each and every one of your topics and build an index based on what it finds. There are also a couple of lists you may edit that will help influence the outcome. One allows you to add noise words that the process will ignore during the process. Things like and, or, this, that and other words. The other list allows you to specify phrases. Words that should be indexed when found together. Such as "Knowledge Base" or any other group of words you would like to see indexed.

Hopefully this helps steer you in the right direction... Rick

            An important tip:

Don't let the Index Wizard automatically apply everything it finds. Use the verify mode, topic by topic, to see what's going on. If you're happy with results for several topics, go ahead and run the non-verify mode.
