Cannot highlight or annotate on Adobe Digital 4.5.1 for mac

Hi,

I saw online that Adobe Digital 4.5.1 is supposed to allow highlighting and annotating but I can't seem to do so? Appreciate any help on this!

I have the same probum, but all is woking fine after adding documents to bookshelf,
