I have a Dell Dimension 8200 with windows XP Pro (SP3). i would like to update to the latest version of flash player.

Question: I would like to manually download the latest flash player so that I can install it after disconnectiing from the internet and disabling my security programs. Is there a manual download web site available for me to access?.

Question: Do I need to uninstall the existing flash player on my computer before installing the new version or will the new version of flash player install on top of the existing version on my computer? If I need to uninstall the existing version, I would appreciate the instructions for accomplishing this action.

Thanks, Sam.

This is to Darren McNally from Adobe. I have tried every solution shown here in the last 2 days and I still can't get Flash Player back up and running. I completely removed the previous versions, but when I go to the download screen, select the large block to download the file, the system tries for about 15 seconds, then says "DONE" down in the status bar and nothing ever happens. I do not have any access to any Flash content and have not for over 2 weeks now. Please help me.
