I use Firefox 48.02 most of the time. I also use Chrome 53.0.2785.101 and Safari 10.0 . The issue is the installer fails with the error "Installation Failure" with no browser open.Screen Shot 2016-09-13 at 10.04.58 AM.png

Hello,

The problem you are not able to install Adoble Flash PLayer on macOS Sierra is because of SIP (System Integrity Protection) which is preventing the app to write on the directory /var/folders/...

To solve this you have to enter Recovery Mode of Mac. To do that, restart your mac and press Command + r to enter on recovery mode. After loaded recovery mode, go to the menu and select terminal. On terminal enter the following command line:

csrutil disbale

After that, enter reboot to enter normal initialization. Now you will be able to install Flash Player. When finished installation, do the same procedure to enter recovery mode and enable again the SIP:

csrutil enable and then reboot

FWIW, I ready marked this as solved but, why would you have to disable SIP to install flash when one never had to do that in any beta or point release version of El Capitan with SIP enabled nor most of the dev seeds of macOS? And why did it work with the installer I linked above?

Hi,

You can get the latest Flash Player from Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions . The issue has been fixed.

Thanks!

Maria, do you still want the install log even though I marked the thread as Correct and resolved the issue?

Yes, please.

The issue was 'fixed' by replacing the online installer (which downloads and installs Flash Player silently in the background) with the offline/standalone installer.  The issue is that on some systems installation fails when the online installer is used.  We're still investigating this issue and the install log file will help in that effort.

Thank you.

Okay, here you are. Although it would have been easier just to attach it here.

Hello,

The other versions of Flash Worked fine without disable SIP but for some reason this new version did not work with SIP enabled on Sierra GM.

When i did this procedure i commented above, it worked fine to me and then i re-enabled SIP and it's all good now.
