When I download a book from my library using Overdrive it shows up in Overdrive bookshelf, not ADE. I have reinstalled ADE several times. It is aurhorized OK.When I initially log into ADE,I put in Adobe vendor ID as 'Overdrive' from list.Is this correct?

Every thing used to work OK for several years till I had to replace hard drive and reinstall everything.I have spent hours trying.Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

command prompt brings a DOS window. On windows10 you do a right click in

the left corner of the bottom task bar. You will find it where the restart,

power, shutdown options are. I'm not a vendor. I have been using ADE for

many years and consider it a very unfriendly product. The libraries should

find an alternative for distributing books. Every time I get a book from

the library I feel lucky when I don't have to go through additional

juggling.

If you used as vendor ID used Overdrice its says not that download the File automatic. You must open the eBook manuell over the filesystem to digital Edition.

Remove ade from your PC.

Go into documents and remove 'my digital editions' folder

Go into command prompt

type regedit

Find the adobe section

delete the adept Folder

reinstall ADE

Open your ACSM overdrive book

It will then ask you to login with adobe user & PW

the book should then open

Thanks for that reply Howardy

I am not sure of where is 'command prompt'.

And also, when I reinstall ADE and I have to put in Adobe vendor id,then my

user name & pw,do I select Overdrive from drop-down list for vendor id.

Thanks Dave
