flash player install - connection failed

when trying to install flash player - it downloads - tries to install and then gets "connection failed"

can I download the file and run it - not the short file that tries to install with the connection but the whole file so i can install it myself

we have 2 machines - xp pro on one and 2003 webserver on the other

You can try the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlierpage, in the 'Still having problems' section.

thanks for your help.  this worked ok.  the problem seems to be that the upgrade thing does not work with 2003 server, but the full down load is fine.  the upgrade thing does work with the XP ok.
