Creative Cloud missing or damaged

A couple days ago I started getting a popup on my iMac that says Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this problem.  However, it is missing or damaged.  It advises me to download and install a new copy.  I downloaded a new copy and every time I double clic on the installer I get the same popup with the same message above.  Nothing has changed, just started happening.  Any solutions?

Moving to Creative Cloud Download & Install​

Hi,

Please try the steps below:

• Uninstall the Adobe CC desktop app (Creative Cloud Help | Uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app)
• Reboot the machine.
• Install the latest version of Adobe creative cloud from the link: Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop
