Files disappear after upgrade :(

Hadn't used Adobe Digital Editions 4.0 in months and when I launched it just now, I got a message about an available update.

I followed the instructions and now my 34 (34!) .epub documents have the status "missing".  Heeelp!! @

You can see all your books under "My Digital Editions" folder in "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\" (for Windows) or "\Documents\" (for Mac)

Yes they are there but status is "missing" and so I cant open them in Adobe.
