Hi.
There is a recommendation to use different hard drives for the disk cache and the footage you're using, now in "footage" is the meaning for the original media files or the conformed media cache?
In other words if the Conformed Media Cache and Disk Cache are on the same drive will the working process and rendering will be slower?
"Footage" means the footage itself, not the conformed files made when you import it into AE or Premiere Pro.
That being said, if you could have a separate drive for the footage, one for the conformed files, AND a third drive for AE's cache, that'd be even better!

OK, thanks.
In case I have to choose between putting both (Conformed Media Cache and Disk Cache) on the same SSD, or the Disk Cache on SSD and the Conformed Media Cache on a regular different hard drive, what will bring better performance?

No idea. I haven't tested that. Maybe someone else has. While we wait to see, you could test it and find out.

Haha. A least the price has really come down lately.
Having an SSD really makes a difference.
