I need to access Adobe Connect Central to play araound with the different features for my company. Do I need to download any software?

No, just log into your Connect account. If hosted it will likely be yourcompany.adobeconnect.com or if it is on premise, it is commonly connect.yourcompany.com. Everything resides server side, so you shouldn't have to download and install anything locally.
