open an external local pdf file from animate cc action script

I just gave up with JS so went back with action script, I have a question, what is the actionscript command  for opening an external PDF file ??

navigateToURL will open the pdf in the users browser.

if you're creating an air (mobile or desktop) you may be able to use htmlLoader or stageWebView to load a pdf.
