Created and exported a FormsCentral PDF, but I can't create footer?

I spent some time in FormsCentral and created a great form, but I feel it's all for naught now.

I'm unable to edit the PDF in Acrobat by adding a footer as it's telling me I have insufficient permissions to do so on the form I just created in FormsCentral. I don't see that I'm able to add page numbering in FormsCentral (the automatic numbers do not appear when printed), and more importantly, in my environment we require visible version control numbering on the forms.

I suppose I could add a formatted text block to the bottom of each page, but it seems something as simple as a footer would be so much better.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You have to remove the reader-enabling rights from the document before you can edit it. Because FormsCentral is no longer available, you will also have to modify the forms submission code (which again is only possible after you make the form editable). To do that, select File>Save A Copy - this will save a copy of the form without these special rights.
