Can I edit images (transparency, hues, ect..) within InDesign or should I really do it all in Photoshop?

It's been a while since I used this tool.

Thanks

Hi

all you can do really is applying transparency effects (from effects panel).

For everything else... Photoshop

No, you can't. Adobe recommend to use for this photoshop as a part of CC.

competitors such as QuarkXPress, serif PagePlus can do some corrections, but too not a soft for this.

Remember, never say you can't do something in InDesign, it's always just a question of finding the right workaround to get the job done. © David Blatner

Do it in photoshop - using non-destructive smart filters. Apply Smart Filters in Photoshop

I agree with Eugene. If you think there are a lot of people complaining about how big and slow InDesign is becoming, just add image editing features!
