Will the AE CC2017 Cinema 4D renderer have access to, or support, ProRender within Cinema 4D when available? Furthermore, will it benefit from hardware acceleration in the same way as using the ProRender engine directly within Cinema 4D?

Sorry to crush everyone's hopes, but unfortunately Cinema4d Lite (the version shipped with After Effects) will NOT have access to the new ProRender option.

We can't really expect ProRender to be made available to C4d Lite, when neither the Prime and BodyPaint editions have it included, right? Maxon reserves ProRender for the Broadcast, Visualise, and Studio versions.

You don't expect anyone to release confidential contractual details about the Maxon-Adobe deal, do you? Other than that there's no reason to make a fuss - Prorender isn't even in C4D yet and even there it will take at least two versions before it's smooth sailing. This could easily take up to AE CC 2020 before anyone sees anything along those lines materialize...

Woah - take it down a notch Mylenium - I don't expect anything and was just curious about planned integration. Make a fuss? Sorry to have ruffled your feathers but as I'm sure you know it's important to be able to understand what's coming down the pipe. I've always hoped for stronger integration between AE & C4D and the addition of the C4D render options within AE are exciting.

So is there anything more substantive that can be shared?

We don't even know how ProRender will work with C4D yet, really. It's going to be a while before this is something we'll know anything about.

We now have additional info on ProRender integration.

Any further info from Adobe on integration?

Thanks!

Besides, ProRender GPU rendering would be too slow for animation rendering anyway. Now, the new High-Quality OpenGL Viewport rendering would be VERY useful to have with C4d's Lite version, but obviously Maxon removed that from Lite as well - just too good too have. Sigh.
