.indd extension not registering on 2017 update

Just updated my InDesign CC from 2015 to 2017 on my Windows PC and I no longer have the option to open the .indd files in InDesign. Nor can I set InDesign as the default application for opening .indd files...  I can only open in Acrobat (which doesn't work obviously). I have tried everything other then messing with the registry itself. Please help!

Uninstall and reinstall InDesign.

I updated this morning and I'm having the same problem as artwizard6155. I've tried uninstalling, then reinstalling.
