Lightroom 5 Catalog

this just started, when trying to open the program it says " Lightroom encountered an error

when reading from is preview cache and needs to quit. Light room will attempt to fix the problem

the next time it launches.

I tried trouble shooting, I tried opening it under administrator, I tried restarting my computer and still it will not open without the error,

Exit Lightroom.

Using windows Explorer or mac Finder, go to the folder containing your catalog (*.LrCat) file. In that folder is a folder with a similar name as your catalog, but ending with "previews.LrData". Delete the "previews.LrData" folder. Delete nothing else.

Restart Lightroom and let it recreate the previews.

There are two folders ending in Previews.lrdata

one says, lightroom 5 catalog previews.lrdata

then the other says

Lightroom 5 catalog smart previews.lrdata

what one would I delete
