Is there a way to edit an image with SPOT colors? Every time I use the 'Edit Text & Images" function on an image with spot colors, the image usually opens up as RGB and all spot colors are gone. Is there a way to open the image correctly in photoshop and maintain the spot colors?

I do have the same problem. I do have a PDF file with a CMYK image that only has data in the black channel and that is set to overprint a Pantone Rhodamine Red spot background. When this image is chosen with the edit image tool in Acrobat Pro DC (2017) and opened in Photoshop, the mode is changed into RGB.

Photoshop duotones placed inside PDFs are also displaying same problem. Edit tool sends them to Photoshop in RGB mode with no warning.
