Lightroom reading raw files [Unable to open Canon 5D Mark IV Raw files in Lightroom 6]

Hello, I just purchased the canon 5d mark iv and my old light room wasn't reading the raw files. I now purchased Lightroom 6 and also down loaded the disk from my camera but it still won't ready the raw files

In Lightroom, click Help > Updates.

If that doesn't work, download and update manually

No, you have to update to Lightroom 6.7.  You are probably using an earlier version of Lightroom 6.???

Update your perpetually licensed version 6.x to 6.7.

Adobe references to 6.7 mean the perpetually licensed version. References to CC 2015.7 mean the Cloud version.
