Could you please confirm the approximate size of those videos?
Does Lightroom desktop say it is still syncing on top left under the identity plate?
Since, how long has it been syncing those videos?
Hi, I seemed to have resolved it by deleting the lrcat folder and letting it re-sync.
i have this problem also. Trying one video from iphone 6. Been waiting for 2 days. Still says syncing. This makes no sense. Bring back revel!
Same issue here with latest version 2.3 on iPhone 6 with iOS 9.3.1. Some videos successfully upload, some don't. Size doesn't seem to matter as some of the successful ones are larger than others that fail. The format is the same or all (standard iPhone video .mov)
When it fails:
- on the phone the three moving dots in that cloud symbol go away and it still says "1 pending"
- LR on the desktop says "1 photo syncing"
It will hang in that state endlessly.
How long is the video you are trying to share and what quality is enabled at the iOS settings->Photos&Camera ? -
Just tried with two clips, 16 and 18 seconds, both @ 1080p/30fps. Both failed to sync.
One with 20 seconds at same resolution synced successfully, though.
could you try to make sure that the app is in foreground for a longer time (+10 min) while being on your Wifi?
It could be that you are trying to upload a very large video (that was added before the smaller ones).
One way of identifying the video that might be causing this issue is to go to the collection with the video in http://lightroom.adobe.com.
If nothing helps please try to restart the device to see if it helps.
from an "everything up to date" state, I manually add one single video to the collection, the message "successfully imported 1 video" appears, the upload progress indicator starts with "uploading..", switches to "1 pending" about 2 seconds later (the 3-dot upload progress indictor in the cloud symbol is gone), and stays in that state no matter how long I keep the in the foreground and the display awake. In Lightroom Web I can see that one single video missing (cloud flash symbol). The tested Videos only have a few seconds nothing bigger than 10MB.
Then I can go to "Lightroom photos" global collection, remove that video, sync finishes successfully, everything up to date. So, back to start.
Syncing photos works fine (as long there's no failed video that "hangs" the process - I disabled automatic video import for that reason)
Restarting the phone makes no difference.
would it be possible for you to share one of these videos with us?
Did you have this problem with the last video that you uploaded? Did you delete that video from Lr Mobile when you noticed that it failed?
sorry for the delay. While preparing a test video for you I figured out that my point here is somewhat invalid.
I thought the video upload just failed because of:
a) The moving dots upload indicator in the cloud symbol goes away and the message switches to "xx pending"
b) The network activity indicator of iOS (next to the wifi strength symbol) showed no activity.
c) even after half an hour keeping the display alive and waiting for a some-few MB file to upload, the sync didn't finish.
Then I had the brilliant idea to look at my router's live network graph, and it showed that the iPhone is infact uploading something. Just really slow (way below the maximum possible). So I spent approx 1 hour keeping the phone's display awake, and finally it managed to sync that 15MB video I was trying. My DSL line has 1mbit upload, not much, but 15MB shouldn't take over 1h. Nothing else caused outbound activity at that time.
TL;DR the upload works, I just wasn't patient enough. Sorry for the noise. But the app really desperately needs a background sync feature.
I noticed that video synchronization does not work at all. i created a collection with videos inside. none of them was synchronized to Lightroom Mobile!
But i need it. When it will be fixed?

You can only sync videos in one directon, from your mobile device to Lr Desktop. not the other way around.- Guido

I'm definitely only trying to upload to the desktop. I have two iPhones, 1 iPad pro and CC 2015 on my mac.
Lightroom at the moment: downloads flawlessly photos but for videos nothing. However it doesn't block downloading all photos.
I tried just one video, after absorbing into LR Mobile on my iPhone, it showed on the desktop that it was syncing one photo then it stopped. Pending Activity shows 0/0. However the other iPhone now shows the video.
Frustrating, especially since my workflow is stalled. I imported a bunch via photo but hardly worth it.

You can trigger the log via LR Desktop preferences -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button. -Guido

I a following up on the Video upload issue with Lightroom Mobile. I have the same issue and cannot resolve. I have posted on the forum several times but have not received a response back from Adobe. Did any of their suggestions help? Have you resolved the issue?

So how do you get around it? Create a copy of the video and store it in Dropbox or in your Creative Cloud drive space - ie in some cloud space that has a mobile app. From that app, import the copy on your mobile device. It will then sync, and you might then delete the original video.
Correct. I am attempting to load a video from the iPhone to Lightroom Mobile.
Are there any plans to change this? Would be so nice to be able to sync from desktop to mobile. It's hard to understand why this isn't supported, so it ends up being a stumbling block for a lot of users. I imagine it has something to do with converting videos to a form that can be viewed on mobile??
I had the same problem (or so I thought) but in my case the video was uploaded, only did not show in 'all synced photographs'.
