Editing Topics in Doc Pad

I just upgraded to the new RoboHelp 7. The new interface is pretty nice; however, I find it difficult (too many steps) to simply open and edit a topic. You used to simply double-click the topic from the TOC or Project Manager. Now I have to open the Topics list, scroll for the file, right-click and choose "Edit with..." I then get a message that changing editors may cause changes in the HTML code.

I have searched all the help files, website, etc. Can someone explain to me how to open files for editing in the most direct way. I am using roboHelp HTML 7.0. Thanks!

Welcome to our community, Felicia

RoboHelp 7 should work the same in this regard. You might try the following:

Click Tools > Options... > Tool Locations tab
Near the bottom of the dialog, choose the option labeled "Use Default Editor".

Give that a go and see if it makes things behave more like you want.

Cheers... Rick
