Silence on Audio 1

Last night November 11, Audio one worked perfectly. This morning, it doesn't work at all. I've run Windows Update and restarted the computer, and reloaded the project, to no avail. The various settings are the same today as they were yesterday. I haven't changed anything.

I'm running W10 and Elements 12. Everything works as it should except Audio 1 and the soundtrack. I've just tested that as well. I have narrations and I've tried audio effects and they all work. Audio 2 doesn't work either, when I shift a clip up one line.

I've re-loaded the raw footage as a new project, and everything works as it should.

What's the story? Any ideas?

It's possible you've toggled off the audio for that track.

Do you hear audio if you move the clip from Audio 1 to another audio track?

Otherwise, if you can post a screen capture of your timeline, we may be able to see something you're not seeing.
