Hi,
Is it possible for the Adobe Clip app to just export the metadata (XML) to Creative Cloud so I can manually relink media in Premiere Pro at a later time when I have copied files across from my device?
If I am using Clip, it will be because I am starting something whilst away and with limited wifi and more likely involving many GB of material.
Thanks
Jon
Hey Jon,
Ok, sorry I missed what you were trying to achieve. There is not a way to send just the xml file without the media. I tried to see if I can cheat it somehow but I wasn't able to.
The only metadata that is modified when sending to Premiere that I'm aware of, is the filename.
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.
Best,

Hi Jon,
Yes, this is a workflow that is supported in Clip. Here's an article providing the details.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for this, but the link appears to show the regular way of moving a project into Premiere.
I as wondering if there is a way to JUST create an XML from clip and open it in Premiere - then manually transfer all my original clips over from my device via a wired connection and relink in Premiere. There may be times where uploading a lot of source clips over wifi is not possible or feasible - not to mention using up the meagre 20GB CC storage.
The only way way I can see that this might be a problem is if Clip is creating new media with new names and metadata so it can't be linked back to camera originals.
Thanks
Jon

That's a shame, but thanks for looking into it anyway!
