Lightroom 6 doesnot start away from home

I just upgraded Lightroom 5 to 6. Work fine when I am home but does not start when I am on the train. I click and nothing happens. What is wrong here?

What type of computer and what operating system?

Windows 10, Dell Laptop. I checked that it wants internet access which I do not have on the train. Does it even run without internet?

Yes it does without an internet connection but are you signing out in LR.

With LR 6 you sign in and enter a serial number then never Sign Out. If you Sign Out if first checks if you have an internet connection. That could cause a delay.

Have you or are you testing the mobile feature, IE Sync with LR Mobile? If you are that might be the cause. Also with LR 6 LR Mobile is just a trial. you have to have the CC version to use it for longer than 30 days
