Not able to download Adobe Digital Editions due to being "signed out" while not

I purchased a digital book to which I need a Adobe Digital Editions program. I received a link from the book dealer to download the program, but when on Adobe's page I was "signed out" even before I had the chance to download anything: "Your request could not be completed because you have been signed out."

I assume that it would not be necessary to be signed in order to download the 22 Mb program. Available for all as such? Instead I was sent to index page with the note "Sorry, page don't exists" or such. Same happened when I DID sign in. Cannot read my book nor can I download the necessary program do to some hickup. So where can I get the program for OSX 10.12.1 without the necessity to sign in or Adobe's page?
