I have been printing from Lightroom 5.7 with no problems until just now when the Printer dialog box no longer offers a "Print" option. It only has "Save."  How to I get the "Print" option back?

That's the default setting but I did play around and select all the various options and then magically everything went back to normal. It still says PDF but Save changed back to Print. WooHoo!

Thanks for your help!

If you have "Print to File..." showing but "Print" is greyed out - you probably have [JPEG File] selected in the 'Print to:' menu, at the top of the Print Job panel.

I don't recall exactly, but it is possible that this button may have shown "Save" instead of "Print to File" in some LR versions.

If that's the problem, changing this option back to [Printer] will re-enable printing straight to the device.

Thanks for your response. In Lightroom the "print to:" is set to Printer. In the dialog box the Printer is set correctly to my Canon.

What is the context in which you are seeing this command "Save"? If that is in a dialog window, how is that window titled?

Oh, another thought - does your Canon printer driver offer a Print to File option?

Here's what I'm seeing.

No idea about the Print to File option with this printer. It's not my normal printer. Worked perfectly all day yesterday.

You seem to be set to PDF at the bottom left of that printer dialog.

Could that be it?
