Future of XD as app builder from scratch

I hear again and again that XD is for prototyping only.

But this sneak video suggests that is not the case, or at least XD could soon be a build-from-scratch product.

Wonder if anyone here knows how close the sneak is to reality.

Would have an affect on our little company's plans if such a feature was going to appear in the next year.

At the moment this is a demo (one which we think is really cool!). We are talking to the AEM team to see how AEM and XD can be integrated, however I'm afraid there is nothing specific on our roadmap yet and no timeframe for when such a feature may start being worked on or available.
