I was working with another person to figure this out, but we couldn't get it done. I have a Tamron SP17-50 (B005) I am using LR2015.7 on a windows 10 machine.

We were working getting the "right lens" for the lens corrections to show in the list in the lens correction dialog, the only lens under the Tamron brand is not my lens, and it appears to be the ONLY one available. We looked in the program files>Adobe and found the lens in the list. How do I get that lens to show up an an option in the lens correction dialog?

Make sure you've got a raw photo selected (not a JPEG, TIFF, PSD, or PNG).  Lens profiles are specific to the file format, and almost all profiles are for raw only.
