Have to open Indesign to opne an allready exixting fil

At the moment I can only open an existing InDesign file, by first open InDesign. Normally this is not required - I just click on the old file!

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

For people to help you, you'll need to provide more information: What version of InDesign (exactly)? What operating system? What happens when you double-click on an existing file?

Sorry - I really didn't know where to write it.

I use Adobe Indesign CC (2017) - Windows 10 and then it hit me - it asked for InDesign app. Into the app "world" and activate it - it seems to be working now. Thank you
