Import in CC showing only generic CR2 thumbnail

Screen Shot 2016-11-20 at 5.38.02 PM.jpgWhen I select Import and select my camera, I see a field of generic CR2 thumbnails instead of thumbnails of the images on my camera. If I proceed with the import, I get a spinning beach ball that never stops.

I'm running Lightroom CC 2015.7 Release Camera Raw 9.7 on an iMac running MacOS Sierra 10.12.1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi jimschwartz,

You can try few's things to fix this issue.

1. Reset Lightroom preferences back to default.

Refer: Preference file and other file locations | Lightroom CC and 6

2. Uninstall the Lightroom, restart your machine and then reinstall it from the creative cloud desktop app.

Let us know if that helps.
