Scrolling pages

Whith InDesign CC 2017 the scrolling pages doesn't work. If, for example, I have to create some tickets numbered over 1000 numbers using the numbering imported from an Excel file, the application crashes. Fortunately I have an old version of InDesign CS5 to make this work.
I think that all the 2017 DC applications have problems and they are issued too hastily
