Issue with Acrobat Reader after update

I updated my reader on my android tablet today and have run into a couple issues and was looking to see if someone had a solution. When trying to add text to a page, when I try to move it, it slides all the way to far right of the screen and won't move away from there... also when I attempt to highlight it moves to the next page instead of.actually highlighting.

Please any and all help much appreciated as this is my main note taking program for school

Could you please confirm the version of Acrobat Reader installed on your phone?

And, the Android version installed on the tablet?

Have you tried with another file?

Try to highlight/ Add text to another pdf file and see if this behavior still persists.
