I worked in one of my documents yesterday. I sent the dokument which is normally saved at a shared drive by I mail to my self so I could Work on it at home. This I have done before without any problems. When I tried to open my document today, something went wrong. Indesign starts to open as usual, but then nothing mores happens. Nothing opens. I tried to open another document but that doesn't change anything. I tried to restart my computer which didn't work either and then I tried to reinstall the programe. Nothing Works. What can I do??? I have a deadline today so I'm really desperate!

Thank you for your reply. I just had help from a guy who fixed it. The window had somehow disappeared from the screen. He found it Again, so now I'm up and running Again.

Thank you for you help though 🙂

Which version of InDesign and OS? (Is your work version of InDesign the same as your home version)?

In the meantime try trashing your InDesign preferences:

Close and relaunch InDesign, and IMMEDIATELY hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences. you must be extremely fast on the keyboard (if you don’t see the confirmation prompt, you were too slow)

You may have to do it a couple of times before you get the hang of it!
