Macbook Pro 15'' Late 2013 Vs Zenbook Pro 15'' UX501VW

Hi Guys! Since 2014 I use to edit with my Macbook Pro 2013 2 GHz Intel Core i7 2.0GHz boost to 3.2GHz with 8gb ram (no external gpu). I'd like to change after almost 3years and I'm thinking about the new Zenbook Pro UX501VW  with 4gb nvidia gtx 960, 16gb ram and Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz boost to 3.6GHz.

Now the question is, according to you, I'll have a significant improvement in 4k editing or it will be pretty much the same thing?

I would avoid the Zenbook Pro UX501VW.

The "4K" display in this laptop is not as advertised. ASUS uses the RG/BW Pentile matrix in this laptop to cheat the ability to advertise the 4K UHD 3840x2160 resolution, without actually providing the full detail of the resolution. You see 3840x2160 in your display settings, and the GPU renders every pixel of 3840x2160, but the actual display doesn't have enough RGB components to fully display the resolution, so all you get to see is a downsampled version. It's far below both MBP Retina displays and true-4K displays when it comes to clarity, and is also worse than 3K 2880x1620 display in the old Zenbook UX51vz.

I would get the Dell XPS 15 9550 in its place. The Dell XPS 15 9550 4K uses a 100% honest true 4K UHD 3840x2160 display (with 100% sRGB, 89% Adobe RGB too!). Link: Buy Dell XPS 15 9550 Signature Edition Laptop Review - Microsoft Store

Another good alternative, though not with the same color gamut (I don't know the ratings on this one, I just know it uses a true 4K display by researching part numbers) is the Lenovo Y700 4K.
