I have a large folder hierarchy that includes PDF and JPEG files. I have created an action that will insert a coversheet into each PDF. To save time and to be as efficient as possible, I would like to run the action on the entire hierarcy. However, when I run the action Acrobat attempts to add the coversheet to each JPEG as well.
Is there a way to create an action that will make changes only to the PDFs? In other words, I want it to ignore all other file types that are in the folder hierarchy.
Thanks for your help!

It used to be possible, but starting with Acrobat XI this option was removed, unfortunately.
I suggest you request that it is brought back here: Feature Request/Bug Report Form

Copy the folder, delete the JPEG files from the new folder, and perform the action on the new folder.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I don't think that will work in this case. I need to keep the PDF in the same structure as the JPEG. There are nearly 4000 PDFs, so I'm looking for a solution where I don't have to copy or move the files (if possible).

After the insert of the coversheet you can cut the new folder and paste it over the original folder.
