cannot open because it was saved in newer version, but that´s not true

i have an important document created and edited in CS6. I edited it just the other day and now I get this error message saying I cannot open it because it was saved in a newer version. This is not the case. I have no other or newer version of inDesign. I have no problem opening other documents recently editet or created. Why this? Or more important how do I open it?

I use CS6 on a MacBookPro 10.7.5.

try Jongware's script to identify the version number of your document you cannot open:

[Ann] Identify Your InDesign File

We've had countless posts here with folks saying it was impossible but it was always the case whether a co-worker or someone using a trial version.

Try the script mentioned above and let us know.
