LR 6 stopped importing images

I have LR6 ver.6.7.  Operating Windows 10.  My camera is a Canon 5d Mark III.  LR has been importing photos from my camera without a problem until now.  When I connect my camera and go to import, I can see the preview of the images to be imported.  When I hit "Import", the images disappear and do not load.  The task bar / status bar shows that the import process starts and runs to completion but gets stuck at the end and never completes.  I've updated LR and restarted several times but no success.  Any suggestions that don't involve a hammer would be really appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi davids,

Please turn off the Graphics processor from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps.

Open Lightroom >> Go to Edit Menu >> Preferences >> Performance >> Uncheck GPU.

Restart Lightroom.

Let us know the outcome.

Thanks,

Mohit

Thanks.  I did that long ago but did not help at all.

Mohit,

I checked and unchecked the Graphics processor and restarted LR.  So far that seems to have helped.  Hopefully you solved my problem.  Thank you very much!  Gotta love the simple fixes
