Publish Online editing

I had to make an edit to a document I published. I wanted to retain the link of the original file with the updated version. I went to Chat support and asked if I could do this and was told: "when you Publish any document again Indesign asks wether to update the link or create a new one "....  But when I published the doc it did not ask and it put the edited version up with a new link.  Does anyone know how to assure this doesn't happen again?

The updated version will overwrite the earlier version unless you select it as a new document to upload.

What version of InDesign are you using? Can you give us a screenshot of the Publish Online export?

My bad, Bob! I was blind to the "Update Existing Document" ...ugh. I was expecting a box to pop up and ask Doh!
