Junk character while merging the PDF in Acrobat 8 (Windows)

I have 2 sets of PDF, In 1 pdf all the fonts are embedded, and in another PDF fontd are in Embedded subset. While merging this 2 pdf in Acrobat 8 (PC Windows), some of the character are get junked or blank. Please let me know how to fix this issue

I don't know how well this will work in Acrobat 8 however.
