I am having issues with Lightroom 5.7 constantly buffering while I am in develop module and the sliders respond slowly. My Computer Specs are;

1 TB ; File System NTFS: Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU. E650@2.33GHZ.

I am not very well informed on computers bu have an idea that my computer is not able to process at the speed needed to work quickly.

Thanks for any help

John.

A processor with four cores is highly recommended. From the description you provided, it seems that you only have two. How much RAM do you have? What operating system are you using?

You could try increasing the RAM if the motherboard will accommodate it. But you still have a rather underpowered CPU by today's standards. If it's in the budget, I'd recommend a new computer.

i7 Quad core processor

At least 8 GB RAM, ideally 16 GB

Windows 10 or Mac, it really doesn't matter.

1 TB hard drive with second internal or external hard drive.

I know, maybe a dream. But if you really want to get the most out of Lightroom you need the right computer.
