Page number bug in the book module

Has anyone else experienced a difference between the page number shown at the bottom (actual page count) and the number on the page preview.  I made a 147 page book and at page 105 the software decided to repeat the use of page 104 and put it on the inside (spline side) of the page.  And then it repeated the error (page numbers one too low and all page numbers on the spline side) for the rest of the book.  Not something that I expected when proofing the book.  $1600 later (I didn't see the issue until it was printed.  I now know to be afraid of this when proofing a Lightroom book. Especially since Adobe was not particularly interested when I reported the bug.
