I am trying to send out a pdf that has attachment within to another pdf or excel file using the paperclip icon.

The attachment icons do not work on an Android or iphone.

On the iphone, they do not even appear.

How do I make them compatible with smart phones?

Hi Rohan,

The Adobe Acrobat mobile clients do not currently support attachment annotations (as you noted). They do support adding attachments using the "paperclip" icon (the attachments panel) in Acrobat Screen Shot 2016-12-07 at 7.26.40 AM.png

Once you open a document with an attachment like this in the Acrobat iOS or Android viewers, you can tap on the document and then tap on the attachment (paperclip) icon in the toolbar.

Hi Nahor88,

We tried the same at our end and unable to reproduce the same.

In order to open an Excel document( attached as an attachment) you should have an application installed in your mobile device that supports the .xml files.

Similarly if its an pdf attachment attached to the pdf doc, then that should open up through the Adobe reader itself.

Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile application is already compatible with mobile devices, there isn't anything specific needs to be done.

Regards,

Akanchha
