The photos end up in light room as they should, but the import dialog keeps opening up.

I have unchecked the "show import dialog when a memory card is detected" box in preferences.

Using Windows?

Turn off "Autoplay" in the operating system.  [Windows Settings>Devices>Autoplay]

Perhaps when the image adds to the 'Watched' folder, it triggers the OS to import with Lr, even thought Lr then does the Auto-import.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm using a mac, and I have disabled the "image capture" software in macOS. I imagine it's similar to what your describing in windows.
