Lightroom CC import problem

Attempts to import from memory card result in images that are greyed out. so is the import button. I can't find any images in the catalogue or recent so that's doesn't seem to be the problem. Can anyone please help?

If they are grayed out then LR thinks they are already in the catalog.

Write down one of the file names that are on the card and use both the search/filter bar in LR and the File manager for your OS to search for that file name.

Look to the Destination area on the right to make sure you have a folder selected that your user name has write permissions to.
