Lightroom wont open since update

Hello, i updated Lightroom lastnight and since then it wont open, i get i message box stating...

"The lightroom catalogue named "Lightroom Catalog" cannot be opened because another application already has it opened. Quite the other copy of Lightroom before trying to launch"

There are no other copies of lightroom in use, this message continued even after shutting down my computer for 6 hours.

Thanks @Akash but i managed to fix it another way (so haven't tried your fix) - I just copied the catalog file onto my desktop, renamed it and pasted it back into the folder, then when asked by Lightroom to choose a different catalogue I chose the 'new' one and it worked perfectly. Your fix is a lot cleaner so I will prob use that if it happens again.
