I've been following posts reporting a similar issue, but the fix posted is only for Windows.

So I tried to install the latest LR yesterday.  It starts to download but fails 1/2 way through.

I am now unable to access LR.

When I go through the error log, I'm seeing this as the issue:

Exit Code: 7 - Unable to complete Silent workflow.

ERROR: DS015: Unable to read symlink target of source file "/Applications/Adobe Lightroom/Adobe Lightroom.app/Contents/Helpers/DynamicLinkMediaServer/application/dynamiclinkmediaserver.app/Contents/amecommand.app/Contents/Dictionaries"(Seq 451)

I solved this by uninstalling Lightroom and then installing again from within the CC control panel.

Run this:

/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2017/Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC 2017

(or similar path for whichever version is currently there)

Note: this was on my laptop which did not have any important data on it - although I don't appear to have lost either catalog or preferences - I recommend backing up first just in case.

Please note that this path is for Photoshop, not for Lightroom!

You should correct this to not mislead other forum users.

THIS path:

/Applications/Adobe Lightroom/Uninstall Adobe Lightroom

(unfortunately it won't let me edit the original post)
