Reflowable EPUB frustration(s)

Is there a "best" size to use when creating a document in InDesign that's bound for EPUB conversion and reading? What about margins? What looks good on my iPad looks lousy on my iPhone, and vice-versa. Thanks.

There's no page size as such as the page resizes to suit the screen size.

In which way does your reflowable text ePub look "lousy" on your iPhone?

"Lousy" is  too harsh a word. It looks OK. One thing is the side margins seem wider than need be. If I reduce the margins on the ID doc, will this affect the margins on the iPhone version? If so, then, of course, the margins that are actually perfect on my iPad will be affected, no?
