Hi guys,
i'm quoting on lasered lettering out of acrylic, but there's quite a bit of it and to cost it I need to know the area the laser will be cutting out etc . . . is there a way of me finding the outline area of a letter? so for instance, a 100mm high letter 'T' . . . would be approximately 335mm, where can I see that figure in a tool to simplify my working out time?
Thanks in advance
Stuart
There are all sorts of area measurment tools in drafting/ 2D CAD tools, but not in Illustrator currently. You would need to buy third-party tools like VectorScribe or CADTools to gather that info or use scripts.
