There are new capabilities for placing videos in a banner ad in Animate, but because of file size restrictions and viewing data, we need to source the video to play from YouTube in the banner ad. How can we auto play a YouTube video in our banner ad?

I'm pretty sure any video (Youtube or otherwise) is only allowed in rich media banners, which don't have the same limiting file size restrictions that standard banners have.

Yes, it's a rich media banner ad buy. Still need to be able to play the YouTube video from the HTML5 banner ad I'm creating in Animate though. Unless you're suggesting that we can't create rich media banner ads in Animate?

Sorry, you're correct that they aren't the same file restrictions as standard, but we still want to play from YouTube. We are able to do this in Sizmek and on websites, should be able to do it here too.

You can create a div in your HTML file which overlays the canvas, and copy and paste the youtube embed code there.

You might try this technique if you don't want to edit the HTML file directly: Re: How can I add video

(That thread isn't specific to Youtube but you can put anything in your div including Youtube videos.)
