Canon t6i problem with raw support

Hello, I have a canon t6i, I just bought it and when I pass my photos in RAW format, it tells me the following message "the file is not recognized by the raw format support in the lightroom" So I mean the lightroom does not support Canon T6i to edit raw files ??

You've posted your question in the non-technical Lounge. Please let us know the Adobe software you're using (in this case, also please list the specific version you're using) and we'll move this post to the correct product forum.

In general, for the Canon T6i, you're going to want Camera Raw 9.0 or later for full support of your camera. See this link for a list of cameras and corresponding Camera Raw / Lightroom versions:

As a follow up, I see you mentioned Lightroom. However, we need to know which version. The T6i requires at least Lightroom 6.0. Do you have that version or later?

My lightroom version is a 5.7.1, but it is not possible to update more

The camera raw version is 9.6

Camera RAW for LR 5.7.1 is 8.7.1. Not 9.6.

You have 2 options.

1) but LR 6 or subscribe to the Photographers plan for PS and LR CC 2015 for $9.99 a month US.

2) Use the most recent free Adobe DNG converter program to convert the RAW Canon image to the DNG format. Then your version of LR will be able to import those DNG files.
