I have looked under every hood. I think.
And I thought I spotted this maybe 2 years ago, I don't know. Does anyone remember or recall who's done it with a script?

Are you referring to setting a repeating tab at a set distance apart?

The one I thought I've read about counts the number of tabs and divides against the width of the text frame, then applies equal values to each tab stop.

… A situation lots of designers encounter and where they (really and alas) can't use "flush spaces"!
The last "z. zzz." is fixed defined by a left-tab and the user wants (not would like! ) to align the "y. yyy" between the first "x. xxx" and the last "z. zzz" with the same white space before and after!!!
